Text Box: Move-In Date: The Building Committee is anticipating an occupancy date of July 6.  We are running ahead of schedule and things are going quite well.  What a wonderful day this will be! Glory be to God.   Construction Update: Our Contractor and Architect have done an outstanding job for us. Construction is a ahead of schedule.  We anticipate acquiring a temporary occupancy permit soon from the City, so that we will have a few weeks to Text Box: move furnishings and supplies in prior to our first service date of 13 July.   Storefront glass is installed; the five storefront doors arrive soon. Sidewalks should be installed by mid April.    Tour of Building: Anyone interested in touring the building please feel free to come by any Tuesday at 4:30pm.  Come see how God has blessed our Church family.   Exterior Signage: The exterior monument sign is currently being designed and will be Text Box: put out for bid soon.  Installation will take approximately 4-5 weeks. South Acreage Clean-up: A special thank-you to everyone who has helped with the clean-up.  You are appreciated.   Current needs are to pile the remaining debris for burning and clipping the grass/weeds with a tractor.   Interior Signage Update: We are currently working with the architect on interior signage.   Spire: We are so excited that the Spire will be transported from the old property and Text Box: Move In Scheduled for July! Text Box: Special Note: We need your prayers for God’s guidance, provision and that His name be glorified in the construction of His new church. Building Committee Members: Chuck Reynolds 868-1387 Ginger Worth 863-7119 Alison Clay 864-5958 Pete Meece 868-9233 Charles Dearman 863-3050 Ruby Blackwell 452-9292 Text Box: erected on our new property by the Seabees within the next few weeks.  What a blessing to have a piece of our past to remind us where we have been and where we are now in our spiritual walk with God.   Grounds and Maintenance: Re-spread of topsoil begins April 5 and landscaping begins around April 15.    Interior Design Update: Kitchen: If you have not had an opportunity to check out the kitchen then you are really missing something spectacular.  There will be many meals prepared in this state-of-the-art kitchen that was designed so very well by our Interior Design and Kitchen Committee. Great job!   The Interior Design Committee has done a lot of work on selecting and purchasing the furnishings needed for  ministries in our new building.   Prayer Sub-Committee: We ask that you pray specifically  for the following: · Grant Opportunities · Capital Stewardship Campaign Pledges Text Box: · The work of our Building Committee Members · The work of our Sub-Committee Members · Church Staff · Clear communication and understanding · For God’s guidance and provision and that His name is glorified in the construction of His new church. A special thank you to those of you who have been faithful by having prayer meetings in your homes and for continued and steadfast prayers. God is surely listening!   Publicity Update:  Last Service in Gym: Our last service at the Middle School will be July 6. We will have a special ceremony that Sunday to express our appreciation to the school district Administration for their support of our Church during the past years while we built our new Church home. We will have a special church service and afterwards we will all walk over to the new church and enter the doors of the new Church together.  Everyone can find their Sunday School classroom and spend time together in prayer.   First Church Service: Text Box: Our first church service in the new building is scheduled for July 13.   More information on this is forthcoming. Yard Signs: A new yard sign announcing our church services and times will be available soon.  Be sure to keep your wire sign holders from your old signs.  An announcement will be made when you can pick your sign up.   Church Dedication Event: Our Church Dedication Event is planned for August 24.    More information about these events will be announced.   Upcoming Dates of Interest: · July 6  - Last Service at Middle School and ribbon cutting. · July 13: First service in new facilities. · August 24:  Church Dedication Event.   Finance Update: First Baptist Oxford has generously agreed to contribute $50,000 each year for three years to our building fund.  Our Finance Committee has handled our Campaign funds so well that they have earned approximately $600,000 in interest alone.
