Text Box:  Property Sub-Committee: We officially closed on the new property, located at 300 North Cleveland Avenue, on October 30, 2006.  We still have not received an update from the Corp of Engineers, but we officially filed our request to mitigate 6.5 acres on September 12, 2006.    Construction and Building Design Sub-Committee: We are diligently working on Architectural drawings and should be completed by late December 2006.  Final contractor costs are due a couple of weeks later in January 2007. We are currently reviewing drawings and costs in detail at 50% completion.  Site Text Box: work is estimated to begin in February 2007, which we are estimating will take 2 months for completion. Once the site work is completed we will begin construction somewhere around late April.  Completion of Phase One will take approximately 12 months. We are aiming for April 2008.  This will give our Capital Campaign Committee an opportunity to fundraise the money that we will need to move forward.  Please be in prayer for this next big step.  God has been so good to us and is leading us all the way.    Financial Sub-Committee:  As reported this past Sunday, God has been present in regard to the insurance settlement. A few months ago we asked the Church Body church Body Text Box: to take a leap of faith that God would provide for a 4 million dollar gap in what we had and what was needed. We had a grant writer come forward who has moved us through the process where we may receive  up to a $2.4 million grant.   We also received a grant from Samaritan’s Purse in the amount of $50K, a grant from the Bush Clinton Katrina Fund in the  amount of  $20K and more may be coming God willing.  We currently have reached an agreement on the insurance settlement for an additional $800,000.  We will be receiving a check for $1.2 million soon.  Avoiding litigation on the insurance and receiving this additional funding has certainly been a blessing for us.
